At noon on April 10th, with the sound of the whistle and the close cooperation of the tugboat, the world's largest container ship "Mediterranean Irina" made in China berthed steadily at the Nansha Phase II Container Terminal of Guangzhou Port.



On the freight yard next to the wharf, a batch of artificial stones, ceramic tiles and other goods have been transported from Foshan to Nansha through the "Bay Area One Port" model, waiting for the "Mediterranean Irina" "After berthing, the ship can be loaded on board and exported to Egypt, Italy, Spain, the United Arab Emirates and other countries and regions.

The "Mediterranean Irina" berthing this time is an out-and-out "Made in China" with complete independent intellectual property rights. The total length of the ship is 399.99 meters, the width is 61.3 meters, and the maximum container capacity is 24346TEU, once again broke the historical record of berthing large container ships in Nansha Port, and is a veritable "big Mac" and "cargo king" at sea. The ship is expected to leave the port on April 11 after completing cargo loading at Nansha Port in Guangzhou.

Nansha is located in the geographic and geometric center of the Greater Bay Area, and is truly the heart of the Bay Area. Nansha Port is an important foreign economic and trade hub port in South China. The surrounding logistics infrastructure is complete, the source of goods is abundant, and the logistics demand is strong.
